NAPA Brothers
NAPA Brothers is a dog accessories brand that needed a refreshed brand identity and its first online storefront. As the sole designer on this project, I managed the entire pipeline: competitor research, brand redesign, print-ready packaging layouts, and setting up their direct-to-consumer store on Shopify.

Brand Redesign & E-Commerce Build
My Role: Brand & E-Commerce Designer
Responsibilities: Competitor Research, Rebranding, Packaging Design (Shipping boxes, product labels, collateral cards), and E-Commerce Implementation with Shopify.
Tools: Shopify, Illustrator, Photoshop
Challenge
The goal was to establish a cohesive, clean aesthetic that felt consistent across both physical and digital touchpoints. I had to design physical assets (which require precise print specs) and translate that same look into a functional, responsive online store—all while learning the operational side of Shopify for the first time.
Research & Rebranding
-
Competitor Research: I looked at current pet brands to identify common visual themes and compared them with what my client wanted and the message she wanted to send to her audience. We decided on a direction that felt aesthetic and intentional.
-
Visual Identity: I redesigned the logo and built out the core identity assets using Illustrator. The design was crafted to look clean, aesthetic, and warm, while ensuring that the final file structures remained sharp and highly legible across different printable scales.

Packaging & Collateral
To build a consistent unboxing experience, I designed the print layouts for the brand's primary customer touchpoints, including the outer shipping boxes, precise product tags, and custom thank-you insert cards. Throughout all of these designs, I maintained a minimal and clean aesthetic look. As a special touch to build an emotional connection to the heart of the company, I integrated illustrations of the client's actual dogs (sourced from their previous branding). While these dog illustrations are no longer part of the main logo itself, I repurposed them as creative visual complements across select print materials to keep the brand's foundational story alive for its audience.
Shopify Implementation
-
First-Time Platform Setup: Having not used Shopify before, I learned the platform's content management system (CMS) and template structure on the fly to build and launch the site.
-
User Experience Layout: Set up a clean desktop and mobile navigation flow, organizing product galleries and the checkout funnel to make purchasing as simple and frictionless as possible.
Results
The project resulted in a unified brand presence where the physical packaging and the digital storefront match perfectly. Taking the initiative to learn and deploy Shopify on an active timeline allowed me to hand over a fully functional, self-sustaining store that the client can easily manage moving forward.
